Beverly Marie Koss

1931 – 2026

Beverly Marie Koss

After 94 remarkable years of life, Bev closed her eyes for the final time on June 1, 2026 after a tough 10+ years of Dementia. Beverly was born in Chippewa Falls, WI on December 8, 1931 to Lawrence and Theresa (Zwiefelhofer) Revor. Bev married Duane Rugg of Chippewa Falls,WI Jan 1952, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She then married Jim Koss of Mosinee, WI April 1989 in Schofield, WI.

Having witnessed nearly a century of history, her greatest blessings were seeing her children and grandchildren begin their own journeys. Bev lived a full and adventurous life, retiring from K Mart after 20+ years. Her hobbies included: sewing for her kids and grandkids, crocheting afghans, cooking, and traveling the world. You could not put anything past her, her photographic memory was amazing and her spiciness for life was unforgettable.

She was preceded in death by both parents: Lawrence and Theresa Revor, her husband's: Duane in 1986 and Jim in 2012, sisters: Dorothy Geissler, Betty Lokranz, Darlene Bowe, and very special sister in law: Beaty Wheeler.

She is survived by a sister: Joanne Shilha, Children: Debbie- San Francisco, CA, Jerry,- Marlborough, MA, Sue- Weston WI and Steve (Pam)- Bellevue, NE; Step-Children Sue (Ken) Smith- Jacksonville, FL, Linda (Lee) Garvey- Freedom, WI, Mike (Sara) Koss- Wausau, WI, and Karrie McGreevey- Marshfield, WI. Grandchildren: Theresa (Todd), Sonja (Josip), Marisa (Rob), Stephanie (Tj), Christopher, Ilse, and Caitlynn, Step-Grandchildren: Gina (Jason), Nate (Carla), Katie (Mike), Nick (Blair), Jennifer (Chris), Jeff (Jennifer), Andrew, Catherine (Jake), Aaron, and 11 Great Grandchildren, and 10 Step-Great Grandchildren.

In honor of her passion for life there will be "One Heck of a Party!

Our family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to her caregivers, nurses, and social workers at Renaissance and Rennes. Your kindness and patience brought so much comfort to Mom. Special thank you to her Hospice team, Haley, Carrie, and Will ( who was in the right spot at the right time.), as well as Brainard Funeral Home for assisting us during this difficult time.
