Eleanor LaVonne Krull, 89 of Birnamwood, died on Friday, January 30, 2026, at Rennes Health & Rehab, Weston, under the care of her family and Compassus Hospice.
LaVonne was born on March 6, 1936, in Underhill, the daughter of Walter and Ella (Lutzow) Green.
On October 15, 1955, LaVonne was united in marriage to Lyle Krull in Birnamwood. He preceded her in death on June 19, 2024.
LaVonne drove school bus for the Wittenberg-Birnamwood School District for 46½ years. She enjoyed traveling, camping, and going on the annual girls' flower-shopping trips. LaVonne especially loved watching and feeding the birds. Most importantly, she cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and faithfully attended their sporting events.
LaVonne is survived by her children, Paula (Ron) Sopiarz of Mosinee, Peter (Sharon) Krull of Marshall and Chris (Shirlyn 'Toots') Krull of Birnamwood; she is also survived by her grandchildren, Cory (Sarah), Ashley (Neal), Brittany (Mario), Becky (Shane), Jon (Beth), Jeremy (Lindsay), Nick (Taylor), Corey, Matthew (Robyn) and Tyler (Kelly); and her great-grandchildren, Sydney, Sam, Axle, Vincent, Keegan, Karson, Stella, Beckett, Kipton, Chase, Colt, Crew, Cooper, Harper, Levi, Everett, Carter and Camden, as well as many other relatives and friends.
LaVonne was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Lyle; parents; a daughter, Stacy; siblings, Wallace Green, Edward 'Jack' Green, Ken Green, Richard Green and Robert Green.
A funeral service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Birnamwood. Vicar Carolyn Jolitz will preside. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery, Birnamwood. Visitation will be on Friday, from 4-7PM at Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Birnamwood, and again on Saturday, from 9AM until the time of service at the church.
