Gary Lee Tullberg passed away on Saturday, June 13th, 2026, after a valiant battle against diabetes. He was surrounded by family always and at the time of his death. Gary lived in Wittenberg most of his life and lived a full and adventurous life. Gary was a great cook and baker, bartender, decorator, artist, Gardner, dog whisperer, and doting Uncle. Gary was generous, always making sure the kids in the family grew up learning about animals and parades and the circus, to name a few. He literally traveled with a circus exploring the US. He kept current on life events and was passionate about many things.
In recent years, he enjoyed attending Polka festivals in the summer because in his words, “everyone there is so happy.” He enjoyed his trips to the casino and constantly tried new games to play and gained new friends wherever he went.
Gary was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Lee Tullberg, paternal grandparents, Raymond and Dorothy Tullberg; maternal grandmother, Winifred Foreman, and aunts, uncles, and cousins. Gary is survived by his mother, Greta Tullberg; sisters, Julie (Dale) Grulkowski, Tina Tullberg, Tammy Tullberg and brother, Jamie Tullberg. He is also survived by nephews, Andrew, Joshua, Jonathon, Marcus, and niece, Dior, and great nephews and niece, Matthew, Isaac, and Maple. Gary is survived by many cousins, three aunts and an uncle. He is also survived by many special friends who he remained close with: Tom, Luane, Leslie, Kerry, Tabitha and Luke, as well as his special dogs, Molly and Prince.
A Celebration of Life Picnic will be held at Washington Park, 104 Park Street, Wittenberg, WI 54499, on Sunday, June 28, 2026, from 2-4PM.
