Gladys L. Iczkowski, 88, Mosinee, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
She was born on January 3, 1938, in Ida, Louisiana. Daughter of the late John and Marie (Heflin) Tyra. She married Sylvester Iczkowski on June 27, 1957, in Bossier City, Louisiana, he survives.
Gladys loved gardening, watching hummingbirds and putting puzzles together. She had quite the collection. Most of all, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Often telling them about her life in Louisiana. Even after all these years, she still had her southern accent. Gladys was loved by all and will be deeply missed.
Gladys is survived by her husband, Sylvester; children, Daryl (Shirley) Iczkowski, Sharon (Jason) Laska, Janet (Dennis) Levandowski, Kenny (Diane) Iczkowski, Dale (Sheila) Iczkowski, and Greg (Stephanie) Iczkowski; daughter-in-law, Beth Iczkowski; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, Gladys was preceded in death by her children, Brenda, Randy and Terry Iczkowski; grandson, Blake Iczkowski; and her sisters, Geneva and Marie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, July 6, 2026, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Mosinee. Father Aaron Becker will officiate. Burial will take place at St. Paul Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m., until the time of service, all at the church.
