Joann Mary Budnik, 85, Schofield, WI, was called home to her Lord on January 25, 2026.
Joann was born May 6, 1940, the daughter of Late Sam and Katie (Kasper) Budnik. She grew up on a farm in the town of Reid; she was the youngest of eleven siblings. Joann attended school in Mosinee, WI. She then went on to work at Marathon Battery and then Crestline Windows until her retirement in 2002.
Joann was a great Daughter, Sister, Sister-in-law, Aunt, Friend, and caregiver, graciously taking care of her mother Katie for many years. She was a zesty Lady who liked to shop, take day trips to the casino and Joann took pride in keeping her yard mowed and planting her favorite flowers in the spring. She always enjoyed getting together for a good game of poker or guts.
Joann's true passion was her dogs she cared for over the years. She was a Dog Mom who loved her dogs and treated them like her children.
Joann was an active member of St. Ladislaus Church in Bevent, WI.
Joann is survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a special Sister-in-Law, Betty (Richard) Budnik.
Joann is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Emma, Donald, Edward, Stanley, Irene, Annie, Joseph, Richard, Sam, and Ray.
A Mass to Celebrate Joann's Life will be Monday, March 9, 2026, at St. Ladislaus Catholic Church, Bevent at 11am. There will be a visitation starting at 10am until the time of the Mass.
We would like to thank the staff at Lili Gardens Assisted Living for their Special Care, Compassion and Love they gave our Aunt Joann while in their care. A special Thank You to Heartland Hospice. We deeply appreciate the kindness and support and exceptional care given to Joann.
