She was born March 2, 1940, in Coleman, Michigan, daughter of the late Albert and Ardis (Koontz) Riegle. On August 8, 1959, she married her high school sweetheart, Wayne Brewster in Coleman, Michigan. He preceded her in death on December 13, 2012.
Judy grew up always having horses and the family spent much of their time moving to different dairy farms, where she embraced the hard work and rewards of renovating and country living. She loved being outdoors whether mowing the lawn or tending to her many flowers, especially her petunias. Judy and her family took pride in growing their own vegetables and preserving them through canning. She was also a gifted baker, known for her delicious pies that became a favorite among family and friends.
Survivors include her children, Angela (Jim) Kanitz, Lisa (Bruce) Stein, Steven (Dee) Brewster, John (Tonya) Brewster, Amanda (Will) Heiner; brother, Richard (Pat) Riegle; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Davison.
