Kevin R. Damask, 53, of Hatley, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 17, 2026.
Kevin was born on June 7, 1973, in Wausau, the youngest son of Lawrence and Susan (Esker) Damask.
He graduated from Wittenberg-Birnamwood High School and later attended Northcentral Technical College, where he earned a degree in Agricultural Technical Mechanics.
Kevin spent several years helping his parents on the family farm. Throughout his life, he worked in a variety of occupations, including concrete work, pole building construction, and most recently in maintenance at First Impressions. A gifted problem solver, Kevin took pride in his work and used his talents to build a beautiful gate for his parents.
Kevin had a deep love for horses and worked hard training and breaking several of them. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially when he could be with his horse, Monty.
Kind-hearted and devoted to those he loved, Kevin cherished his family, particularly his niece and nephews. He will be remembered for his generosity and caring nature.
Kevin is survived by his parents, Lawrence and Susan Damask; his brothers, Ken (Shannon) Damask and Chris (Brenda) Damask; his niece and nephews, Brandon, Melanie, Dalton, and Coleman; along with many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am, on Friday, June 26, 2026, at St. Florian Catholic Church in Hatley, with Father Jerome Patric presiding. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
