Mari Jane Olive passed away unexpectedly in Minneapolis, MN on June 24, 2026. She was a huge Green Bay Packer fan and proudly displayed her affection for the team by her outside decorations and jerseys she'd wear on game day. If someone else in the Twin Cities was wearing anything Packer related, Mari would be the first one to greet them with a huge smile on her face.
Mari was born August 30, 1962, in Wausau, WI to the late Richard and Patricia Jesse, who she loved to be called "daddy's girl". Mari went on to graduate from Newman High School in Wausau WI in 1980.
While working at BNOX Jewelry Studio in Pepin WI she met the love of her life, Andy Olive, and they were married on Sept. 12, 2009, at St. Clement Catholic Church, he survives. She is also survived by her son, Andrew, who she loved dearly with all her being.
Mari had a soft spot for her furry babies, treating each and every one like a member of the family; never missing their birthdays or the anniversary of their passing.
Mari will always be remembered for singing along to her favorite songs and yelling at the TV when Packers were playing…sometimes she would lose her voice doing both! We'll miss Mari every day and her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her.
Mari was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Patricia Jesse, and is survived by her loving husband, Andy Olive, son Andrew Koehler, sister Julie (Dale d.) Bouvat, Laura (Don) Reinhard, Kathy Reinhard, Rich (Michelle) Jesse and many nieces, nephews, aunt, cousins, her Olive brothers- and sisters-in-law and their families, and all her friends.
Washburn-McReavy Cremation is in charge of arrangements. The funeral Mass will be at 11:00 am Saturday July 11 at St. Helena's Catholic Church in Minneapolis, MN with a visitation at 10:00 AM.
