Maxine Brose was born in Wausau, WI on December 27, 1949 to James and Susan (Hooker) Brose. She graduated from Wausau Senior High School in 1968. As a teenager, she was a loyal member of Job's Daughters. Maxine lived in Wausau all of her life and worked in the Housekeeping department at Wausau Hospital for many years. Maxine was united in marriage to Charles Huebner on October 9, 1976 at the former Calvary Baptist Church in Schofield. She enjoyed helping to plan her High School Class Reunions. Maxine had an immense love for nature, animals, and spending time with her family. She was a caregiver for her daughters, Ruth and Joy, and was involved with their activities throughout their lives. Maxine was so proud of her daughters and loved them dearly.
Maxine is survived by her daughters, Joy Huebner of Wausau and Ruth Huebner of Wausau; sisters, Evelyn Johnston of Jackson, WI and Jamie (Robert) Fink of Cleveland, WI; brother-in-law, Richard (Joni Spies) Huebner of Columbia Heights, MN; sister-in-law, Kathleen Huebner of Wausau, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles; sister, Nancy Gast; and brother-in-law, William Johnston.
Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 17, 2026 at Highland Community Church in Wausau. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
