Myron (Mike) Maximillion Trzebiatowski passed away peacefully on June 19, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was deeply grateful to remain in the home where he was born, where he built a life and raised a family with Arlene, and where he proudly continued the family farming tradition until his death.
Myron was born on September 12, 1931, the fourth child of the late Max and Rose (Wierzba) Trzebiatowski.
Myron grew up in Amherst on the family farm, the original Trzebiatowski homestead. Through eighth grade, he attended Fountain Grove School, a small one-room neighborhood school which was just down the road from the farm. After completing his education, he continued helping on the family farm. During the winter months, he and several of his siblings would take the bus to Milwaukee to find work to support the family. He worked at places such as Trostel Tannery, Advanced Tool & Die, and Continental Can Company.
Myron joined the United States Army on November 13, 1952, and was honorably discharged on November 30, 1960.
Myron met the woman of his dreams, Arlene Marie Ebel, when she walked up to him at a wedding. She mistakenly thought Myron was Clarence, her girlfriend MaryJane’s boyfriend. It turned out Myron was Clarence’s brother, and this serendipitous mistake kicked off the beginning of an exceptionally long and happy marriage of nearly 69 years. They were united in marriage on June 29, 1957, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Stevens Point.
Early in their marriage, Myron worked as a milkman for Fisher’s Dairy, delivering milk to schools and families in the middle of the night. His true calling, however, was farming. In 1959, Mike and Arlene, and their growing family, moved back to the family farm. It is here that they carefully cultivated the land, but also lovingly raised their family. Together, they received the Century Farm Award, recognizing their devotion to both the land and their faith.
Myron will be remembered as an avid Brewers and Packers fan, for his enthusiasm for hunting, his ability to be a strategic Sheepshead player, for his love of pool and bowling, and his commitment to his church, where he was a member of St. Mary Holy Name Society.
Myron is survived by his beloved wife, Arlene; his children, Allen (Betti), Steve (Sandy), Donald (Maggie), Terry (Bob) Gahl, John (Lori), Karen (Bill) Desing, and Ryan (Jamie); his grandchildren and step-grandchildren, Isaac, Orean, Uriah, Marissa, Ashlee, Nathan, Gwen, Coleman, Audra, Henry, Julie, Dave, Zach, Rachel, Kyle, Stacey, Miranda, Chelsey, Eleanor, Vincent, Jillian, Lucy, and Wesley; and twenty-two great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren, with another on the way. He is also survived by his brother, Rudy, his sisters Arlene Wroblewski and Jan (Jim) Roska, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son Matthew; his parents, Max and Rose; and his siblings, William, Chet, Clarence, Jerry, Nancy, Lucille Patoka, and Lorraine Wroblewski.
A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at St. Mary of Mount Carmel, 3995 County Road K, Amherst, WI, presided by Father Jerzy Rebacz. The Rosary will begin at 8:45 a.m. followed by Visitation until time of service. Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. John J Buettgen Funeral Home is assisting the family. Condolences and words of remembrance may be left at www.honorone.com.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be sent to St. Jude’s Foundation or to St Mary of Mount Carmel Restoration Fund.
A special thank you to the many people who helped Myron during his last few years, and especially to Heartland Hospice and Synergy Health who provided wonderful care and compassion. Their support allowed Myron’s family to grant his final wish—to remain in his home for the remainder of his life.
