In Memoriam

Raymond G. Dundore

1963 – 2026

Raymond G. Dundore

Raymond G. Dundore, 63, of Birnamwood, died on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at his home, under the care of his family and Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.

Ray was born on March 4, 1963, in Racine. On October 31, 1981, he was united in marriage to Jennifer Hubbard at Kingdom Hall in Elderon.

Ray was a member of The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Rib Mountain.

Ray worked as a Journeyman Carpenter and later as a Superintendent for the The Samuels Group for 25 years until his retirement. Ray also had a natural talent as a handyman. He enjoyed building, framing, and taking on woodworking projects, always having an eye for improvements and new projects. Whether helping family or working on something around the house, Ray took pride in creating and fixing things.

Ray loved to travel and especially enjoyed his camping trips out west with his family. Together they discovered many favorite places throughout the Midwest that they loved to revisit with their camper. Ray and Jenny also shared a love of cruising, taking ten cruises together to destinations throughout the Caribbean, Mexico, the Panama Canal, and Puerto Rico.

An avid outdoorsman, Ray enjoyed deer and turkey hunting, watching and feeding birds, and making maple syrup, with a specialty being in bourbon barrels. One of his most cherished traditions was the annual trip to the races in Brainerd with his brother, and family and friends, a trip he faithfully attended every year since 1989, missing only one race. Ray also enjoyed listening to classic rock music. He especially cherished time spent with his wife, children and grandchildren.

Ray is survived by his wife, Jenny; his children, Zach (DeAnna) Dundore and Cassy (Jay) Hynes; two grandchildren, Quinton and Vincent; his mom, Doris Dundore; siblings, Tim (Melinda) Harmann, Kimberly Shields and Sally Hegewald and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Ray was preceded in death by his unborn grandchild, Wesley.

A Funeral Service will be held on March 20, 2026 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses in Rib Mountain. Visitation will be from 1-3pm, with the funeral talk at 3pm. The talk will be live streamed on a zoom meeting and available to anyone who wishes to watch. Reach out to family for zoom information.

Arrangements by Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home.
