Richard Allen Green was born July 9, 1939 to the late John and Genevieve (Gorecki) Green. He attended D.C. Everest High School and graduated in 1957. He was a great athlete and played basketball, football, baseball and track.
He went on to serve in the United States Army and was stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, MO and Fort Lewis, WA. After serving in the Army, he married Jeanette "Corky" (Pregont) Green and had two children, Jodi (Wausau) and Patrick (Hastings, MN).
As a well-known businessman in Schofield, he was an insurance agent and owner of Green's Insurance Agency. Along with his siblings, owner and operator of Green's Professional Building.
Dick will be remembered for his outgoing fun personality and his love for family and friends. He was proud of his grandchildren, Rylee (Woodbury, MN) and Manny (Crookston, MN).
He is survived by his sister, Rita Suske and preceded in death by his brother Donald and sister Therese.
A Memorial Service for Dick will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Brainard Funeral Home Everest Chapel (5712 Memorial Court, Weston WI 54476) with Fr. Janusz Kowlaski officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026 From 10:00 AM until the hour of service at Brainard Funeral Home Everest Chapel.
