Robert “Bob” J. Swita, 57, died on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at his home.
Bob was born on March 26, 1969, in Wausau, son of the late, John and Dolores (Stark) Swita. He married Patrice Zientara on August 15, 1998, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Mosinee, she survives.
Bob found his greatest joy in the outdoors, whether he was hunting, fishing, or exploring the trails on his snowmobile. A devoted animal lover, he cherished his faithful Labrador companions, Sophie and Buddy, and took exceptional care of Patti’s beloved horse, Lucy. He also enjoyed showing horses and proudly competed at regional events over the years. Known for his remarkable work ethic and generous heart, Bob was someone others could always count on. He never hesitated to lend a helping hand to family, friends, or neighbors, whether it was tending to the family’s large garden or assisting wherever he was needed. His quiet acts of kindness and caring nature left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Bob is survived by his wife, Patti; siblings, James Swita, Beveryly (Joe) Niescior, Thomas Swita, Charles Swita, Marie Swita, John Jr. Swita; nephew, Clayton (Nichole) Niewiadomski; sisters-in-law, Pam (Jerry) Krall, Kathy Freitag, John (Ann) Zientara, Mary (Tony) Suardini, and Ann (Jerry) Badeau; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 a.m., on Friday, July 3, 2026, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Mosinee. Father Aaron Becker will officiate. Burial will take place at St. Paul Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 2, from 4:30 p.m., until 6:00 p.m., then will be again Friday, from 9:30 until the time of the service, all at the church.
