Shelley J. Boda, 73 of Elderon, died on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
Shelley was born on June 21, 1952, in Wausau, the daughter of Raphael 'Pat' and Jean (Larson) Gunderson.
On August 2, 1986, Shelley was united in marriage to John Boda, at Zion Lutheran Church, Eland.
Shelley enjoyed gardening, feeding and watching the hummingbirds, spending time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren, and cheering on her favorite sports teams—the Wisconsin Badgers, Milwaukee Brewers, and Green Bay Packers. She could often be found at local baseball games, playfully heckling the umpires. In earlier years, she enjoyed softball and bowling. Shelley also dedicated time to teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School at Zion Lutheran Church in Eland.
Shelley is survived by her husband, John; children, Rick (Cathy) Boda, Robert (Diane) Boda and Rachael (Johnnoy) Boda-Holness; five grandchildren, Whitney (Brittney) Boda, Briana (Eric) Bergsbaken, Brennan Boda, Kylee Boda and Ryker Boda; one great granddaughter, Kinzlee Bergsbaken; siblings, Donna Gunderson, Peggy (Marty) Benes, Ray Gunderson, Wanda Gunderson and David Gunderson; brothers-in-law, David (Debbie) Boda and Gregg Hugill, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Shelley was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Mark; father and mother-in-law, Anthony and Laura Boda and sister-in-law, Lynn Hugill.
