Thomas James Hintz of Rosholt, passed away peacefully on June 16th, 2026, at the age of 65 surrounded by his loving family after a tough 3 year battle with a rare B-cell Lymphoma cancer in the brain.
Tom was born June 3rd, 1961, in Milwaukee, WI to the late Raymond and Henrietta (Singer) Hintz. He grew up in the Rosholt area, attending St. Adalberts Catholic School and Rosholt High School, graduating from Rosholt High School in 1979.
On September 12th, 1987, Tom was united in marriage to Jacqueline (Wierzba) Hintz at St. Ladislaus Church in Bevent. They shared just shy of 39 wonderful years together making memories with their 3 children and 5 grandchildren.
Tom worked as a Line Leader at Greenheck Fan in Schofield for 32 years. In his free time, Tom found great joy in the outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, camping and working out on his land making food plots and firewood. In his earlier years he enjoyed ice fishing, snowmobiling and traveling out west and up to Canada on hunting trips with friends and family.
As his family grew, he passed those traditions on to his children, teaching them not only how to hunt and fish, but also to appreciate nature and the simple joys of life. He made it a point to take his family camping several times each year, exploring campgrounds and national forests treasuring the peace and quiet of the outdoors. He always made sure to make special memories filled with family fun, laughter and excitement.
Tom had a gentle spirit and an exceptionally kind heart. He was the kind of person who would drop everything to lend a helping hand to anybody who needed it. His words carried wisdom, sincerity and trust; everybody always knew they could count on him.
Tom’s unwavering love, quiet strength and selfless devotion to his family will never be forgotten. His legacy lives on in the memories he created, the values he instilled and the countless lives he has touched.
Tom is survived by his wife Jackie; his Children: Margaret (Sam) Napiwocki, Kimberley (Zack) Boettcher and Travis (Taylor Krogwold) Hintz; his grandchildren: Wesley, Oaklee and Jaxon Boettcher and Lincoln and Walker Napiwocki. He was further survived by his siblings: Scott (Susan) Hintz, Lisa (Jim) Richter, Diane (Wayne) Garski, Jenny (Chad) Malek; and his brothers and sisters-in-law: (Diane) Wierzba, (Pauline) Wierzba, Norbert (Bernie) Wierzba, Jeanette Gollon, (Russell) Miller, James Wierzba, (Elaine) Wierzba, Joe Wierzba, Marcie (Dennis) Hintz, Joyce (Jeff) Krukowski, Joan (Patrick) O’Neil, Judy (Larry) Osowski, Mary (Tom) Lewandowski, Norman (Brenda) Wierzba and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Henrietta Hintz; his father and mother in-law John and Margaret Wierzba; his brothers-in-law: Johnny Wierzba, Myron Wierzba, Wayne Gollon, Jerome Wierzba; sister-in-law Marlene Miller, and nieces Nicole Richter and Sammy Jo Kurdydyk.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 AM, at St. Ladislaus Catholic Church in Bevent, WI on Monday, June 29th, 2026. Rev. Augustine Bentil will officiate. Visitation will be held from 9AM until the time of Mass at the church.
