Thomas S. Kokke, 72 of Oshkosh, died on Monday, February 2, 2026, at Hospice House, Wausau, under the care of Aspirus Hospice and Comfort Care.
Tom was born on October 25, 1953, in Milwaukee, the son of Gerald and Mary Jane (Davis) Kokke.
Tom graduated from JFK Prep School in 1972 and University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1979, with a degree in economics and political science. He worked as a corrections officer for 30 years. After retirement, he loved spending time at Wildlife Campground with his significant other, Barb Lutz and friends. Tom enjoyed motorcycling and helping others when needed, whether it be plowing fields or cutting trees.
Thomas is survived by two children, Adam Kokke and Erin Kokke; two sisters, Kitty Kokke Wood and Sally Hall, as well as many lifelong friends.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents; furry companion, Cal, who he was looking forward to reuniting with, and many friends.
A Celebration of Life to honor Tom's life took place on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at The Bar, 825 N Washburn Street, Oshkosh, WI 54904.
Another Celebration of Life will be held at 3 PM on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Wildlife Bar & Campground, 183327 Schwede Lane, Birnamwood, WI 54414. A Memorial Ride will take place from 12 NOON until 3 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to your local humane society in honor of Thomas.
