In Memoriam

William "Bill" Clark

1934 – 2026

William "Bill" Clark

William “Bill” Clark, born on January 15, 1934, to the late Thomas and Frances (Pryga) Clark, passed away surrounded by the love of his family on July 8, 2026.

Bill married the love of his life, Phyllis Krueger, and together they shared 57 wonderful years of marriage before Phyllis' passing in 2016. They were truly the perfect pair. Phyllis was the one who took charge, while Bill was content to go with the flow—a balance that served them well throughout their life together.

A quiet, easygoing man, Bill found joy in life's simple pleasures. He enjoyed ice fishing, hunting, gardening, playing cards, going out to eat, and, above all, spending time with his family and friends. His gentle nature and steady presence will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Bill worked for many years at the paper mill in Mosinee, Wisconsin, and proudly served his country in the United States Army, followed by the National Guard.

He will be dearly missed by his daughters, Betty (Mark) Martino and Judy (Dennis) Tiry; and his beloved granddaughter, Melissa (Andrew) Bella.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Frances Clark; his beloved wife, Phyllis; and his daughter, Eydie Clark.

Private graveside services will be held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, with military honors conducted by Montgomery-Plant-Dudley American Legion Post 10.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Mount View and Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice Services for the exceptional care, kindness, and compassion they provided to Bill.

John J. Buettgen Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences and words of remembrance may be shared at honorone.com.
