She was born July 16, 1933, in Wausau, the daughter of David and Almeda (Buttke) Stanton.
Bea grew up in Wausau and graduated from Wausau High School in 1951. She then paid her way through college at Concordia University, Chicago. She taught 1st grade for many years in Nashville, Canada, Washington DC, and Maryland. Later in life she began teaching massage to hundreds of students in the Chicago area, many who she still kept in contact with. In her 80's she returned to the Wausau area and enjoyed living in Birchwood Highlands and making many new friends. Once a month she attended a high school class luncheon and loved seeing everyone.
She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Phyllis Stanton, Waupaca and Jeanette Stanton, Tampa, FL. Many nieces and nephews, Sue (Jim) Bochers, Jeff Stanton, Kathy Stanton Liebforth, Scott (Lois) Stanton, Tim Stanton, Mike (Michelle) Stanton, Bruce (Michele) Stanton, Mike (Nichol) Riedel and Brenda (Tim) Kuhn.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Wallace Stanton and Fat (VR) Stanton and her sister Beverly Riedel and her brother-in-law James Riedel.
As per Bea's wishes there will be no funeral.
The family extends a special thank you to all the staff at Weston Memory Care.
Bea lived life to the fullest and was very independent to the end. She did things on her own terms and loved deeply.
