Christine Marie Lambert, 65, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2026, while under the compassionate care of Compassus Hospice at the House of the Dove.
Christine was born on December 20, 1960, in Indiana to the late Donn and Ginette (Pirot) Rethlake. She grew into a woman known for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her family and community.
For many years, Christine served as a bus driver for the Mosinee School District. She truly loved her work and cherished the opportunity to care for the children entrusted to her each day. Ensuring their safety and brightening their mornings and afternoons brought her tremendous joy and fulfillment.
Family was the center of Christine's life. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother whose greatest happiness came from spending time with those she loved. She had a remarkable gift for making others feel cared for and valued, always putting the needs of others before her own no matter where she was or what she was doing.
Christine was especially passionate about being a grandmother. She treasured every moment spent with her grandsons and eagerly anticipated the arrival of another grandson. As the family's unofficial photographer, she could always be found behind the camera, capturing precious memories at gatherings, celebrations, and everyday moments. Through her photographs, she preserved countless memories that her family will cherish for generations.
On her journey through life, Christine met and married the love of her life, Carl Lambert. The couple was united in marriage in 1990 and spent the next 36 years loving and caring for one another through life's many joys and challenges. Their marriage was a beautiful example of devotion, partnership, and enduring love.
Christine is survived by her beloved husband, Carl; her children, Jared (Tahlia) Lambert and Sarah Lambert; her cherished grandsons, Henry and Harvey; and grandson number three, who is expected to arrive on July 10, 2026. She is further survived by her siblings, Dorothy, Matt (Sharon), and Sherri (Bill); as well as many other relatives and friends who will deeply miss her.
In addition to her parents, Christine was preceded in death by her sister, Mary (Gary); her uncle, Ralph; and her aunt, Josette.
Christine's children wish for her to be remembered for her kind and caring heart, her selflessness, and the love she shared so freely with everyone around her. Her warmth, compassion, and gentle spirit touched countless lives and will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Good News Church, 145919 Lowland Lane, Mosinee. Visitation takes place from 9:00 am until the time of services.
