Davis M Prei, age 84, of Rhinelander, died on June 10, 2026 at the Rennes Health and Rehab Center. He was born on June 19, 1941 in Wausau, Wisconsin the son of Milton and Juanita (Simon) Prei. He attended schools in Wausau, graduating from the Wausau East High School and then attended MTC.
Davis moved to Rhinelander where he was employed by K Mart, then Nehls Webster Well Drilling and then Rhinelander Well Drilling. His greatest joy in life came from the time he spent on the Rainbow Flowage with family and friends. He loved to fish on the flowage.
Davis is survived by his sister Kathleen Prei brother Gene Prei and his nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother William Prei.
Private family services will be held for Davis. The Carlson Funeral Home (715-369-1414) is serving the Prei family.
