In loving memory of Elizabeth Ann Otteson (Lieder), age 44 of Rhinelander. After a courageous and unwavering battle with cancer Beth passed away on June 28, 2026. Beth was born on October 24, 1981 to Peter Lieder and Barbara Dankert in Hartford Wi. On November 21 of 2007 Beth married Karl Otteson, she would have said she was under the influence but we all know it was because they loved each other deeply.
Beth graduated Three Lakes High School in 2000 and started her health care career, in 2019 Beth got her TMA/Med Tech certification. She worked over 25 years with care and compassion for others.
Beth is survived by her loving and devoted husband Karl Otteson, and her children Izabella and Ian Otteson. She will be deeply missed by her father Pete Lieder, Ute Stampfl her second mom, her siblings Bruce, Jason, and Rebecca Lieder; She will also be missed by her parents in-law Diana and Larry Sparling along with Kurt and Gayle Otteson and many other family and friends. Beth was preceded in death by her mother Barbara Dankert.
She enjoyed kayaking, fishing, and exploring numerous waterfalls with her family. Beth cherished the first big family road trip to the black hills of South Dakota. She loved her pets no matter the species, she also loved going out to dinner with her friends.
Beth was a loving mother, wife, and friend. She was the hardest and most stubborn worker throughout her life and devoted herself to caring for others.
The family would like to give their deepest gratitude to all the staff who helped Beth with her battle and journey with cancer. Beth’s strength, kindness, and radiant spirit will forever live on in our hearts. She will be greatly missed, but long remembered by all who knew her.
