Joni McEwen passed away peacefully on January 19, 2026, at the age of 71. She was born on March 27, 1954, to the late Robert and Betty (Sullivan) McEwen.
Joni was a devoted mother to her sons, Justin and Jason, and a loving grandmother to Lillith Paige. She took immense pride and joy in being a great-grandmother to Harlow, who held a very special place in her heart. Joni is also survived by her sisters, Deborah and Karlene, and by her beloved fur baby, Oliver, who brought her daily comfort and companionship.
A quiet and gentle soul, Joni was known for being a very good cook, for her love of relaxing with the Hallmark Channel, and being a huge fan of the Milwaukee Bucks and Green Bay Packers. She had a caring heart and spent much of her life as a caretaker, finding fulfillment in caring for her two clients, Daniel and Steven, whom she genuinely enjoyed and looked after with compassion.
Joni was deeply loved by her family and those who knew her. She will be remembered for her kindness, her nurturing spirit, and the love she gave so freely. She will be greatly missed and forever held in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

A celebration of Joni's life will be held at a later date.
