Nancy L. Jirovec, age 77, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2026. She was born on July 14, 1948, the beloved daughter of the late Carl and Lennea (Luoma) Hill.
On August 11, 1973, Nancy married the love of her life, Ronald Jirovec, beginning a partnership that spanned more than 52 years. Together they built a life centered on God, love, companionship, and family, and welcomed one son, Chad, who was a great source of pride and joy to Nancy.
Nancy enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. She loved going to the movies and especially cherished traveling around the country with Ronald. Some of her happiest moments were spent on the road, side by side, exploring new places together by car and enjoying the journey as much as the destination.
Nancy is survived by her devoted husband, Ronald; her son, Chad; her sister, Barbara Bush; her brother, Douglas Hill; brother and sister-in-laws; Wayne (Kathy) Jirovec, Barbara (Tryg) Torgerson, Lana (Glenn) Seefeldt; and several nieces and nephews who will remember her fondly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Lennea Hill.
Nancy will be remembered for her quiet strength, her love for family, and the deep bond she shared with those closest to her.
Her presence will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Compassus Hospice, Weston Memory Care, and all of her medical staff.
Memorial service for Nancy will be held at Wausau Bible Church at 1300 Grand Avenue on Friday, February 13th: visitation 9 – 10:30, service at 11:00 o'clock with luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Bridge St. Mission, Wausau, Wisc.
