He was born on June 20, 1949, in Gottingen, Germany, son of the late Friedrich "Fritz" and Lieselotte "Lottie" (Kretchmer) Lenk. Sieg served in the United States Air Force from 1972 until 1977.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Kay (Madson) Lenk of Wausau; his brother, Wolfgang Lenk of Merrill; sisters-in-law, Linda (Kim) Clouse of Rapid River, MI, and Bunny (John) Sjogren of Gladstone, MI; brother-in-law, Dan Sullivan of Merrill, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was further preceded in death by his mother and father-in law, Jim and Sylvia Madson; and sisters-in-law, Nancy Sullivan and Moni Lenk.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Humane Society.
