Steven Glenn Oelke age 71, passed away at Aspirus Wausau Hospital on March 31st. Steve was born on January 30th, 1955, to the late Glenn & Elaine (Buttke) Oelke in Wausau, WI.
In Steves' younger years he enjoyed playing slow-pitch, throwing horseshoes and spending time with his two children, Miranda & Stetson.
Upon retirement, Steve worked at the U.W. Stevens Point Power Plant.
Steve enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching the Packers & Brewer games. He also enjoyed playing cribbage and sheepshead. He was president of the Lions Club out of Rib Falls.
Steve was a proud grandpa to seven grandchildren!
Steve is survived by his girlfriend Tracey Butterud (Wausau) and his two children Miranda (Seth) Erickson of Athens and Stetson (Amanda) Oelke of Tomahawk. Seven grandchildren Hunter, Ava & Bryn Erickson and Montgomery, Octavia, Hartley & Mavis Oelke. One brother-in-law John Young of Wausau.
Steve is preceded in death by his parents Glenn & Elaine Oelke and his sister Suzanne Young.
There will be no services at this time, Burial will be at a later date in the town of Stettin.
