Thomas A Traub

Thomas Arthur Traub passed away peacefully at Aspirus Langlade Hospital in Antigo, Wisconsin on May 30, 2026, after suffering a massive stroke on May 8.

Tom was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on December 1, 1946, to Arthur and Catherine (Schutz) Traub. He graduated from John Marshall High School in 1965. On November 12, 1966, he married Geraldine Wickland at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Milwaukee. Their union produced five children. Tom was a carpenter and home builder in Southeastern Wisconsin for over 45 years and a life-long Green Bay Packer fan, attending many games with friends. Tom was a resident of Antigo for the past 13 years.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Kathryn Traub; son, Michael Allen Traub; brother-in-law, Lawrence Koty.

Tom is survived by his ex-wife, Geraldine; daughters, Juliette Ellyn Hoffman (Mike Rouse), Patricia Anne (John) Logue; sons, James Edward (Kristen) and Daniel Arthur (Ashley); foster daughter, Connie Kuphal; sister, Carol Koty; brothers-in-law John Wickland and Robert Wickland; sister-in-law, Georgianna (Jim) Whelan; nieces and nephews; special friend, Manish Patel.

Tom is further survived by grandchildren, Nicole Traub, Danielle Fails, Ariel Leaf, Shaina Warchol, Nate Rouse, Jake Heine, Timothy Traub, Trinity Logue, Matthew Traub, Alexander Traub, Andrew Traub and Evan Logue; great-grandchildren, Kaden Leaf, Abigail Fails, Madyson Leaf, Charlotte Fails, Caroline Gilbert, Lucien Leaf, and Oliver Gilbert.

The family would like to thank the entire Aspirus staff for their kindness and care during Tom's stay and their visits.

Per Tom’s wishes, the family will hold a private memorial at a later date.

Mid Wisconsin Cremation Society is assisting the family. Family and friends may go to MWCS.WS to leave words of remembrance.
