Thomas J. Wolfe (Wolfeman) passed away Monday, June 15, 2026, while under Comfort Care at Aspirus Hospital. He was born April 9, 1947, to Norman and Katherine Wolfe who preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Paula, with whom he celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary on April 25, 2026, and their son Jermey, the pride of his life, and daughter-in-law, Tiffany. He is also survived by his siter Karin (Bob Thomas); brothers and sisters-in-law, Roseanne Helm, Colette and Bob Monroe, and Rita and Randy Romanoski; and nieces and nephews.
Tom was a graduate of Newman High School. After high school, he served in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Grand Forks, ND as a jet engine mechanic. This is where he met Paula and got married. After the birth of Jermey, his service in the Air Force ended and he returned to the Wausau area with his family, eventually settling in Kronenwetter in 1976, where he lived until his passing.
Tom worked mainly in construction and as an over-the-road truck driver for WH Transportation for most of his career. He loved to tell stories of his travels to anyone that he met, and anywhere he went, someone always seemed to know him.
Tom played softball, volleyball, golf, and pool leagues. He also enjoyed hunting and hanging out with the crew at the hunting shack. He loved tinkering with his train set, fishing, and woodworking. He was an avid fan of the Packers, Brewers, and Bucks, and he followed auto racing, and many other sports. Vacationing in Puerto Vallarta, greeting the morning with a tequila sunrise and watching the waves, was a trip he looked forward to almost every year.
Burial will be at Peaceful Pines, Mosinee, WI.
A gathering of friends will be held at Relocation Pub, 1801 County Road XX, Kronenwetter, on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Please join his family and share your stories with them. A light meal will be served.
Mid Wisconsin Cremation Society is assisting the family. Friends and family may go to MWCS.WS to share stories and leave words of remembrance.
