Troy was born February 4, 1967, in Huntington Beach, California, to Penny Markum and Jerry Turley.
From an early age, Troy approached life with spirited curiosity and a deep dedication to his passions. He grew up in Turlock, California, where he attended Turlock High School. There, his involvement in sports—especially soccer and baseball—not only highlighted his athletic abilities but also ignited lifelong passions that brought him great joy.
In 1997, Troy moved to Marshfield, Wisconsin, where he built a meaningful life and lasting friendships. In recent months, he made his home in Stratford, Wisconsin, embracing an active and creative lifestyle. He found peace and excitement in cooking and the outdoors, particularly kayaking and fishing. Often sharing these moments with friends and family.
Troy was an avid gamer, music lover, and had a special talent for sound systems. One of his favorite pastimes was installing speakers in cars.
Troy is survived by his maternal Aunts and uncle Debbie and Barry Parsons, and Peggy Gumm. His children, Nicole Turley, Makayla Babb, Kelli Turley Jessica Martinez, Penny Turley and Stepchildren Karri and Chad Lockhart. His siblings, Jerilyn Hasenohrl, James Turley, Tammy Creach (Donnie), Colette Ghan, Penny Flippins (Dave) and his grandchildren. Baily Turley, Hope Rene, Grayson Benette, Cody and Ayden Babb, Phoebe and Luca Dickmann. He will also be dearly missed by his nephews and nieces. Cory Harden, Timothy and Richard Small, Niki Dodd (Matthew) and many others.
Troy will be fondly remembered for his infectious enthusiasm, generous spirit, and the joy he found in music, and the outdoors. He leaves behind a legacy of passion, creativity, and connection that will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
A celebration of Troy's life will be held in the late spring, when friends and family will gather to share memories and honor his vibrant spirit.
