Tyrone Harris

Tyrone Harris (Ty, Bone) 63 passed away 4/22. He faced serious health problems this past fall but was on the road to recovery, making his passing all the more unexpected and deeply felt.

Tyrone was a quiet presence, someone who didn't seek attention but was always there in the background, when it mattered most. He had a steady, dependable nature and calm spirit. He had a gift for the simple things including grilling-his chicken was especially well-loved by family and friends. He was mechanically inclined and took pride in helping keep cars running, fixing what he could.

Though he was born and raised in Chicago, he found his own way of appreciating the outdoors and came to accept a more 'country' way of life. Enjoying fishing, watching fireworks from the boat, and walking Punkin in Marathon Park.

He also enjoyed spending time at a local bar, sharing laughs, betting in local sporting pools, and playing radio contests hoping to win it big someday—but those who knew him would say he already had with his wife of 32 years, Michelle. Tyrone also shared a special bond with Punkin, their beloved Beagle. In recent years he came to warmly accept the presence of dogs in his life, often helping Michelle babysit pets for family. Most recently Diesel who repaid his kindness by sleeping on his feet. Both dogs brought comfort, companionship and lasting joy to his life.

Tyrone is survived by his wife Michelle, two daughters JoJo (Wausau) and Quita, grandchildren Jalen, Jeremiah, Jasmine, and Jordon (Buddha). Brothers Chad, Ron, and Reggie (all of Chicago). He is proceeded in death by siblings Charles, Ed, Wanda and son TJ.

Tyrone's life was defined not by loud moments but by loyalty, love and presence. His final gift was being an organ donor. A selfless gift that reflects the quit generosity he showed throughout his life. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Arrangements by Mid Wisconsin Cremation Society.
